At the '68th Symposium on the Chemistry of Terpenes, Essential Oils and Aromatics (TEAC)' held at the Tokushima Campus of Tokushima Bunri University from November 1st to 4th, M2 student Hinata Togo and M1 student Yui Kanda gave presentations on the following topics.
Oral presentation
・Study on chemical transformation of grayanotoxin based on biosynthetic hypothesis(Togo)
・Synthesis and structural determination of mushroom-derived oxysterols by direct oxidation of steroid skeletons(Kanda)
To commemorate the 70th anniversary of TEAC's founding, a four-day event was held, including a social gathering and commemorative ceremony.
The Awa Odori dance was also performed at the social gathering, and all attendees enjoyed it together.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Professor Yamamoto of Tokushima Bunri University and all the staff who planned and organized this symposium.
Next year's symposium will be held at Hirosaki University in Aomori Prefecture.
Everyone in the lab will work hard to present our results.
