Honda Prize for Recycling Technology Development Award Ceremony and Award Speech

Updated: Oct 22

As we mentioned in a previous blog, the awards ceremony for the 29th Honda Prize for Recycling Technology Development in 2024 was held on Wednesday, October 16th at the Kikai Shinko Kaikan in Tokyo.

The ceremony began at 10am with opening remarks from Mr. Kenji Sukeno, Chairman of the Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry, followed by an overall review by the head of the Honda Prize judges, Professor Yoshinori Kanjyo of Osaka Metropolitan University, and then the award ceremony began.

I was very nervous, but when I received the certificate from Chairman, I felt both happy and a little relieved.

At the 3R Advanced Case Presentation in the afternoon, I gave a 15-minute presentation about the award-winning work.

I was very pleased to hear that in addition to those in attendance, about 200 people watched online.

After my presentation, I received an email from Professor Masahiro Hirama, Tohoku University, which made me very happy.

As I mentioned in my previous blog, I received help from many people in carrying out my research.

I believe I received this certificate on behalf of all those who supported me.

I will continue to maintain a humble attitude, and will continue to work hard and devote myself to my research and education.

I would like to thank you for your continued support.

The Tokyo Tower I saw on my way home was very beautiful!!
