Professor Tadamasa Terai, who has been devoted to education and research for many years in the Department of Applied Chemistry, came to our laboratory.
He is a senior associate in "natural product chemistry", which is my specialty.
In 2018, our laboratory reported a synthetic study using steviol (glycoside is used as a natural sweetener), and it was Prof. Terai who inspired the study.
I am deeply grateful that he gave me new research opportunity and broaden my research field.
He is still so young!
I'm looking forward to seeing him again!
