A research article was published in the "Researcher's Square" section of the November issue of Agribio published by Hokuryukan.

Article title:

" Development of neuroprotective agents effective for prevention and improvement of cognitive disorder "

The article introduces chemical approaches to component analyses of mushrooms and efforts toward the development of neuroprotective agents based on structure-activity relationships.

A paper on the oxidative degradation of 4-MeTHP, a hydrophobic ether solvent, has been published!

August 19, 2021

"Potential Degradation of 4-Methyltetrahydropyran (4-MeTHP) under Oxidation Conditions" was published in Asian Journal of Organic Chemistry.

Oxidative degradation mechanism of 4-MeTHP, the new ethereal solvent widely applicable in organic reactions, was surveyed in detail. The image picture of the paper was accepted as Cover Feature  in Vol. 10.

A full paper on recyclable ether solvents, CPME and 4-MeTHP has been published!

June 10, 2021

"Cyclopentyl methyl ether (CPME) and 4-methyltetrahydropyran (4-MeTHP): Basic chemical properties and applications as next generation reaction solvents" was published in the June issue of the Journal of Synthetic Organic Chemistry Japan.

 

This is a review article that summarizes the recyclable hydrophobic ether solvents, CPME and 4-MeTHP, developed by Japanese companies. The paper would be particularly useful for process chemists, who require green chemistry perspectives

A full paper on total synthesis, structure determination, and neuroprotective effects of active ingredients isolated from Lion's mane mushroom has been published!

August 12, 2021

"Total Synthesis, Structure Revision and Neuroprotective Effect of Hericenones C-H and Their Derivatives" was published in The Journal of Organic Chemistry.

This is a full paper that summarizes natural product chemistry research by synthetic organic chemists including total synthesis, structure determination (revision), chemical demonstration of biosynthetic pathway, structure-activity relationship on neuroprotective effect, of active ingredients (hericenones) isolated from edible mushroom Yamabushitake.
